For a world obsessed with speed and fast paced living, slow living is rebellion.

In a generation where everyone is a founder, an owner, a facilitator, a host or something of that sort, choosing to live an unambitious life can be branded as abnormal.

In a world where everyone is running around, being still sounds crazy.

We claim to “want to do the will of the Lord” but what if the will of the Lord looks like being a faithful wife and mother of kids.

What if the will of the Lord looks like being an diligent 9-5 worker with an ordinary life.

What if the will of the Lord is not the stage or the applause but the pews and the shadows.

Because we have not clarified this, we have a high number of people discontent with their lives because it does not look like how society says it should.

I know we talked about “just doing it” some days ago. But today I want to add another one to the list “just be”. Infact “just be” is actually on top of the list.

The person who has the authorization to “just do it” is the one who has mastered the art of being.

For them, doing is an overflow of who they are not who they are pretending to be. For these people “doing” is not to prove a point but to fulfil a mandate.

The opposite of this why we have an influx of undercooked people of influence, a well packaged imposter in the name of branding. People focused on the aesthetics than the actual work.

Those who have masked validation from others as ambition.

I advocate for rest, sabbath, a confidence that your worth is not tied to the things you do but who you are.

The world does not need another Savior, Christ has already paid it all.

The world does not need another superstar.

The world does not need another influencer.

What the world needs is problem solvers.

People who use whatever gift God has given them to tackle a problem because God said so.

These people are not hired servants, they are sons. They are more concerned with being true followers of Christ than masters of the internet algorithm. Living truly for the audience of One.

At the end of the past year, if all you achieved was that you became kinder, more loving, more present, or more prayerful, then congratulations you are building up treasures where it matters. If you focused on just being, the Lord will strengthen your hands to do.

So for a change, why don't you pause and breathe? Why don't you spend more time in His presence?

Why don't you rebel against speed and choose stillness?

Your “becoming” (whatever that is) is tied to your “being”.
